WOMEN'S
MINISTRY

WHERE WOMEN COME

TO BE RENEWED

The purpose of the Women's Ministry in our assembly is to enhance the potential of RCPC women by full utilization of the resources available to us through God's word, and to provide leadership training thereby, maximizing the advancement of the Church's mission.

We encourage and foster an environment that develops spiritual growth and leads women to be empowered by the word of God to be virtuous in all areas of their lives. We encourage and mentor our sisters in ministering to one another by sharing experiences that will uplift our faith.

We endeavour to inspire and support our single, married, and young women by providing counsel, spiritual retreats, leadership training and resource materials.

If you would like to get involved or find out about upcoming events with the RCPC Women's Ministry you can reach us by sending a message to your our women's department, to do so click here.

YOUTH MINISTRY

MINISTRY

D4G YOUTH

The purpose of the Youth ministry is to nurture young people and provide them with a foundation that fosters spiritual growth and development. We endeavour to help our youth develop by executing programs that build healthy relationships, are wholesome, empowering and engaging.

This ministry is a vital part of Refuge City as we recognize that the youth of today need direction and guidance to face the critical issues facing them in this day and age. We believe that if we can provide a platform for our young people to realize their full potential then the ministry will be enhanced and God will be glorified.

In order to minister to the total man, we currently offer worship services, Bible and group discussions dealing with a variety of issues as it relates to the youth. Going forward we endeavor to have a gymnasium, a library and provide other community resources for our youth.

Join us Thursdays at 7:00PM ON ZOOM for weekly games, trivia, songs and more, see you there!

Education

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

CHRISTIAN FOUNDATIONS

It is important as Christians that we remember the words of Apostle Paul who charged Timothy, and by extension us, that we must “study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth”. It is, therefore the objective of the Refuge City Pentecostal Church (R.C.P.C) Sunday School Department to:

  1. Stimulate the minds of its students to study and feed on God’s word in order for them to “grow in faith and in the knowledge of God”.

  2. Have the students share the message of the “good news of the gospel” that they have been taught in Sunday school with fellow students at their school, friends, coworkers, and family members.

  3. Create a personal touch by celebrating the birthdays, anniversaries, graduation, successes in school, etc. of its students.

Each class is taught by enthusiastic teachers who stimulate their students to learn and enjoy the word of God. The children and youth who attend Refuge City have the opportunity to participate in the Sunday school choir for ages 8 to 12 years old or the New Generation Choir for ages 7 and under.

For those who enjoy acting, they have the chance of participating in several dramatic performances throughout the year as part of the RCPC Drama Club. Along with Christian education, this department sponsors several activities throughout the year that caters to the children and youth within the church and those living in the Durham Region. Among these are: a one-week overnight summer camp, student volunteer program, and the end of year Christmas Program.

If you would like to be involved with the RCPC Christian Education Ministry simply approach the Superintendent or one of our teachers who will be glad to be of service.

Join us each week for Sunday School at 9:30AM
